Have an eye on your good luck! A fascinating lariat necklace in teal turquoise, blue and green shades. The Eye of Hilarion good luck eye is hand painted within a round bezel, with a decorative chunky big hamsa or hand of Fatima underneeth, and the silky cord with two tassels supports the mediterranean oriental color symphony perfectly. The materials are antique silver plated metal, art paints, talisman bead, soft vegan silk cord, the tassels handmade from shiny cotton yarn. The lenght of the cord is 90 cm, the diameter of the eye bezel is 3 cm and the pendants lenght including hamsa and tassels is 14 cm. This is a piece of my “Eye of Hilarion” talisman jewelry series. These beautiful eye symbol creations have their origin in the ancient custom of the of the evil eye talisman or bead, which is found in many cultures and folklores, as well in the Mediterranean, Arabic as in Latin American regions. There, the eye is a guardian symbol for protection from the so-called evil eye as well as a common symbol for good luck. I wished to design some good luck charm filled with the brilliance of the light, so within this interpretation of mine, I included a memory that already when I was very little and did my first paintings, I steadily refused painting the sun just as a yellow corner or ball, and against all odds, I always used to paint the sunlight as a bundle of multicolor rays. Within the years I learned about various cultures and folklores, their ancient wisdom, and the sacred geometry. All these facts together lead me to the creation of the Eye of Hilarion, a very decorative good luck symbol, that is perfectly displaying the fascinating colors of the Mediterranean sea and sky, and is full of this very special amazing sunlight.
